The three (3) signs\/marks are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Al-Fathah &#8211; <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0652\u0641\u064e\u062a\u0652\u062d\u064e\u0629\u064f<\/strong><\/li><li>Al-kasroh &#8211; <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0652\u0643\u064e\u0633\u0652\u0631\u064e\u0629\u064f<\/strong><\/li><li>Ad-dommah &#8211; <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0636\u064e\u0651\u0645\u064e\u0651\u0629\u064f<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The above three (3) signs are regarded as <strong>harokaat<\/strong>. If the three signs above are to be called in combination with <strong>shaddah<\/strong>, <strong>sukuun<\/strong> and others, they are collectively called <strong>As-shakalaat<\/strong> &#8211; <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0,0,0,0);color:#ff6900\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">\u0627\u0644\u0634\u064e\u0651\u0643\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627\u062a\u064f<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, these <strong>harokaat<\/strong> (faatihah, kasroh and dommah) are treated the same way either in single form as in &#8220;<strong>fathah<\/strong>, <strong>kasroh<\/strong> and <strong>dommah<\/strong>&#8221; or in double form as in &#8220;<strong>fathataan<\/strong>, <strong>kasrotaan<\/strong> and <strong>dommataan<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, harokaat are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Fathah <strong>or<\/strong> Fathataan<\/li><li>Kasroh <strong>or<\/strong> Kasrotaan<\/li><li>Dommah <strong>or<\/strong> Dommataan<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope you understand, shall we continue ? ok, fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these three <strong>(3)<\/strong> harokaat are only called these names for a <strong>layman<\/strong> who is just reading Quran. But for a someone who is studying <strong>Nahwu<\/strong>, the names of these harokaat have changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This change serves as the term used in Nahwu, so that whenever you are taking about <strong>Arobiyyah<\/strong>, <strong>Nahwu<\/strong> or <strong>Sorf<\/strong>, laymen can not understand what you are saying because it is not their field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, let consider the word &#8220;<strong>cell<\/strong>&#8220;, cell means different things to different people in their respective fieids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People normally know <strong>cell<\/strong> as a place at police custody where all criminals (or victims) are kept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Biology, <strong>cell<\/strong> is a smallest unit of life found on the body of living organisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, in Physics, <strong>cell<\/strong> is referred to as battery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you see how it goes ?, fine !, let ride on<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Arabic Terms for Harokaat<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>\u0636\u0645\u0629 &#8211; \u0627\u0644\u0631\u064e\u0651\u0641\u0652\u0639\u064f<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>\u0641\u062a\u062d\u0629 &#8211; \u0627\u0644\u0646\u064e\u0651\u0635\u0652\u0628\u064f<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>\u0643\u0633\u0631\u0629 &#8211; \u0627\u0644\u0652\u062c\u064e\u0631\u064f\u0651 \u0623\u064e\u0648\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u062e\u064e\u0641\u0652\u0636\u064f<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/modrasah.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220913_120522-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11148\" srcset=\"https:\/\/modrasah.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220913_120522-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/modrasah.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220913_120522-600x338.png 600w, https:\/\/modrasah.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220913_120522-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/modrasah.com\/tutorials\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220913_120522.png 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dommah is called <strong>Ar-rof&#8217;u<\/strong><\/li><li>Fathah is called <strong>An-nasbu<\/strong><\/li><li>Kasroh is called <strong>Al-jarru<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Note the arrangement, we started with dommah <strong><em>(rof&#8217;u)<\/em><\/strong>, Fathah <em><strong>(nasbu)<\/strong><\/em>, kasroh <strong><em>(jarru)<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As from this lesson, you should have changed how you called those Harokaat, I don&#8217;t want to hear you saying, Fathah, kasroh or dommah, no no no !.
